AmeriCorps in Kentucky
Since 1994, more than 13,000 Kentuckians have served approximately 21 million hours through AmeriCorps, earning Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards totaling more than $50.5 million.
Last completed program year, Kentucky AmeriCorps members recruited more than 11,000 volunteers who provided nearly 78,000 hours of service to their communities, valued at approximately $2 million.

What is AmeriCorps?
AmeriCorps engages more than 75,000 Americans in intensive service each year at 21,600 unique sites including nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country.
Nationally, since the program’s founding in 1994, more than 1 million AmeriCorps members have contributed more than 1.4 billion hours in service across America while tackling pressing problems and mobilizing more than 2.3 million volunteers for the organizations they serve.
National AmeriCorps Alumni
AmeriCorps Alums, a program of Service Year Alliance, is the only national network that connects the nearly one million alumni of all AmeriCorps programs who have served since 1994 to the people, ideas, and resources that support their commitment to a lifetime of service.
