​AmeriCorps in Kentucky

Since 1994, more than 17,000 Kentuckians have served approximately 28 ​million hours through AmeriCorps, earning ​Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards totaling more than $69.4​ million.​ Higher education institutions and other organizations in Kentucky have received more than $35.6​ million in education award payments since 1994.​

In the last completed program year, Kentucky AmeriCorps members recruited 8,342 volunteers who provided 327,582 hours of service to their communities, valued at $9.6 million.​​
